Children
We have many opportunities for children to learn and grow in their faith in God while having fun. Come and join us!
Sunday School begins the first Sunday following Labor Day and typically ends the third Sunday in May. We offer Sunday School at both 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. during our church services. We are currently using curriculum from Augsburg Fortress: Spark for Pre-K through Grade 6 and ReForm for Grade 7. Students participate in music weekly.
Children age 4 through grade 7 are invited to attend Sunday School. Children must be age 4 prior to August 1 of the current year to attend. We offer a special Cradle Roll class in the spring for three-year olds who will be attending Sunday school the following fall. Letters are sent to parents with appropriate age children to inform them when the class will be held.

Youth Choir is an opportunity for children from Kindergarten through Grade 7 to sing and have fun! They practice Wednesday evenings from 6:45 to 7:30 p.m. The Youth Choir is under the direction of Lexy Steinle, who is beginning her fourth year with us. The Youth Choir accompanist is Tammy Peterson, who is beginning her second year with us.
J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) is a new youth group for 3rd and 4th graders. They will meet the first Sunday of the month from 2:00-3:30 p.m. beginning Sunday, October 2. J.A.M. meets in the Youth Room for faith-growth activities and fun.
Wednesday Night Alive is for 5th-7th graders. Its regular gathering is on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:45 p.m. during the school year. Current programming includes pizza for $1.00 per slice and soda for $0.50 (or get a free soda by bringing a non-perishable food item for the Backpack Program). This group participates in faith-growing activities and lots of games. Other activities are scheduled throughout the year, such as pool parties, picnics, and retreats. Give your suggestions to the youth directors.
