What We Believe
We believe we are all held in God’s grace. God encircles us, which includes this whole world, with life and love. We believe God has created all that exits and seeks our partnership to bring grace and peace to this world.
We believe God desires relationships with us and between us that are healthy and whole. Because of our broken lives and world, God entered human history through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The cross of Christ centers our lives. Through it, God saves and forgives us by grace alone. We, therefore, belong …to God and one another. This is good news!
God calls and equips us through the Holy Spirit to believe and trust this good news. The journey of belief or faith entails exploring and discovering God’s presence and power in our daily lives...together. We believe the Bible reveals God’s story of power and love, and the central guide for our life and faith. God offers the gifts of new life through Christ’s sacraments of baptism and holy communion.
We believe God sends us to our neighbors, close and far, to befriend in God’s love. We are invited to partner with God to practice compassion and justice for a hurting world. We are invited to be people of hospitality, welcoming others to journey with us and learn together God’s ways of hope and mercy.
